Manchester United Train on Memorial Field - March 1991
The date was March 29th, 1991. The day when the mighty Manchester United turned up for a training session on Hethersett Memorial Playing Field.
The rumour went round the village and a large crowd turned up to watch and grab a few autographs. Manchester United were playing Norwich City the following day at Carrow Road. The result was Norwich 0, Manchester United 3 with former norwich player Steve Bruce scoring twice.
The players had a light training session for about an hour anmd then returned to Park Farm Hotel where they were staying.
